Hundreds of cars and thousands of people turned out for,
what must be, the biggest car show in this area. Most of the time it was
difficult to get pictures of the cars through the crowd, but it was a
beautiful day and people were out to enjoy it.
We had started lining up on Jackson St early, around 12pm, which turned
out to be a good move because by the time they started leading cars onto
Washington Street the line extended further than the eye could see.
There were hot-rods, street-rods, kit cars, classics, rebuilds and of
course Corvette's. On top of this there was the local Oldies radio station
in attendance at one end, playing, well, oldies. And at the other end was
S&W Project, a two piece country duo playing some great music. Then at
7pm Hot Wax gave a free concert at the southern end of the street.
All in all a great day.
