Greetings From Sweden
Those of you who have been in the club for a year or two, or maybe longer, may remember Krister Gustafsson. Krister joined our club while he was working in Columbus for Cummins. Krister has since returned to his native Sweden and recently sent pictures of their local clubs season opening event. Here is a copy of Krister's e-mail with a good discription of each picture:

I am stuck in Sweden now for the time being, have just left the project that I was working for Cummins with for 8 years, and started a new position within my home company, now working in R&D with new trucks. How is the situation in the club ?

- I am following your web site, and looking at what you present in your events.
- I visited our local club seasoning opening event we had a week ago, and took some photographs, originally I planned to put together a power point presentation, but it became too big with all the pictures, so i took them out and is attaching them in the mail. Here are some comments to each one of the photos (if you want, feel free to set them together in a presentation and show it during one of your monthly meetings !):

- 2008-1 : Meeting outside Stockholm on a Saturday morning in may. Excellent weather to be in Sweden, beginning of may, ca. 65 deg. F. This local club/division is part of the country club. www.ccs.se There are ca. 700 members in the area, about 250 showed up for the season opening. To meet, chat, brag and dine with famly & friends, after a long winter. We met at a mansion of 17th century baroque style who Was rented for the day.

- 2008-2 : String of C3 parked in the park, first mildly modified -72.

- 2008-3&4 : best in show (today) My favorite, (correct colour) -66 coupe w SB 327, in mint original cond.

- 2008-5 : Spring colour, White as spring flowers, -58 & -65 (i believe).

- 2008-6 : -64 conv. 327+4sp (as J Scudder).

- 2008-7&8 : -67 cpe 427/390. as your terry.......

- 2008-9 : more C3 parade, white -78? Modified body&engine,

- 2008-10 : -68 cpe 502+aut. Brrrromm....

- 2008-11 : -68 conv 427/390+4sp. Absolutely original.

- 2008-12-16 : C4/C5/C6 : as the majority of all cars are the newer style as you can see here, they gathered about 90% of all attendancies. Many C6, but also many C4 is still in use and very popular. Mostly are original, although modifications occure, rims/paint, exhaust, decors. Remember that our version of annual vehicle inspection is very very though, and substantial modifications require many certificates and approvals.

- 2008-17/18 : yellow is fashion ! I saw many yellow C5/C6, also accounted at least 12 Z06, then lost count......

- 2008-19 : This was unusual, I do not know if GM offered this as version, or if it is a after market kit, a Le Mans Racing edition. Haven't seen this before.

- 2008-20&21 : C4 ZR-1, rarest of the day, there are atleast 5 of these still in the country, this fine example was imported as new, is still in decent driving & appearing condition.

- 2008-22 : our -68 cpe photographed last fall. Looks the same as it left Columbus.

- 2008-23-26: Newly installed 427/400, have during the winter installed a matching nr engine, with all correct parts, have just started to drive, problematic to get driveability with all carbs......

Best regards & keep in touch !

Krister....
