What wonderful weather we had for this annual event. Above you can see the cars lined up ready to go into the Fairgrounds Grandstand, 13 Corvettes in all this year and we joined up with some members of the Mustang club at the Sears parking lot and they followed us over making for an impressive procession.

Below the cars are just getting settled, I had to take some early pictures as the light was fading and I took this from the top of the Grandstand before people started filling it up.

And at the bottom of the page are Phil Dirt & The Dozers, this great band played for 2 hours with only a short break. A group that really give you your money's worth when you go see them. Their mixture of Rock 'n' Roll music classics and comic asides makes this an ideal venue for the whole family. They also do the audience participation bit so well, coming down off the stage to sing with the members of the audience, having members of the audience on the stage to play and sing with them, and they even made the Mayor's day by having him dance with the Fairs' Beauty Queens in front of the stage.
And, refreshingly enough they had enough new material to set aside any feelings of deja-vu from last year. I, for one, hope that we get to do this again next year as what better combination is there that Rock 'n' Roll and Fast Cars.

And, as you can see here we had a little extra time after parking the cars to cruise the Midway.

And if you would like some more info on the band I have found that Phil Dirt & The Dozers have a website, check 'em out here.
